FMP

Comic covers

I plan to use Graphic Design to finish off my final part of my FMP project. By creating the comic covers through drawing and painting, I may then colour the scanned drawings in and add the colour through photoshop to create flat colours. Once this is done I will be adding the areas like the price and bar code using photoshop and I will also experiment with making the images looked slightly aged and with paper cracking or stains.

I am going to make notes on key factors in comic book covers to add onto my drawings later.

  • The CCA stamp of approval from 1954-2001
  • 1930-1962 10 cents, 1962 12 cents, Modern price $2.99/$3.99
  • Company Logo
  • Issue number
  • Bar Code
  • Title
  • Sub-title or teaser
  • 17cm x 26cm dimensions

I'm now going to create some mock up covers using scanned photographs.

I have added guides to my template I created to the dimensions

I am now going to create a title header using either adobe illustrator and photoshop
I have experimented with illustrator to make a comic book styled title card

I have created a title card that I will use in each comic cover using Adobe Illustrator.
